How Others Help Us Spread the News
Colleen Dunne, a Campus Minister from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota stayed with us over fall break and spring break along with a group of students. She was inspired to write about the community we introduced her to. Her story was recently published by National Catholic Reporter.
Emily, a psychology student from Parkland Community College joined in on a service trip to The Firestone Center with predominantly construction students working on construction related projects. In this post she explains how she gained more than just the knowledge of how to use power tools, she gained a community.
Parkland Community College had a great idea to inform staff and faculty about the students’ service trip to Flint and encourage them to consider donating to one of the community partners the students worked with while in Flint.
